Neon Shadow – first glimpses

Things at TPG have been pretty busy over the last few weeks. All the game-making gnomes have been hard at work on a fun little shooter due to be released on mobile in about a month or so.

Neon shadow is what happens when an artist and programmer get together and play old school shooters like Doom and Duke Nukem 3D. It started out as a prototype for a gamejam and turned out to be so much fun that it went into full production. A few short months later and it’s almost ready to see the light of day.

Lots more to come, but for now a few fun screenshots and concept art to get you going.

For now yes but we eventually we will be releasing it on OUYA too :)

I’m really pleased to hear you decided to take this from gamejam concept to full fledged product. The Ouya definitely needs an arena shooter like this. I’m surprised it didn’t earn a slew of prizes at the CREATE gamejam.

Thanks, either way it was fun to participate. The game now also has a single player element with its area based shooting mechanics.

I played that little web-demo you had up a while back, and it was quite fun. The video you recently posted looks good as well. I’m looking forward to this!

As for the single player element, will it have a storyline/campaign, or be more like Unreal Tournament/Quake Arena?

I agree with Jay, how did this not stand out in the Create bunch?! Anyway, I think it’s great that the Ouya is getting it’s first decent multiplayer shooters (decent as in high quality, not like that swatsomething with touch controls still visible on my 37″).

    Also, yay for 4-way splitscreen.
